Public Employment and Scholarship Office (PESO) of Manolo Fortich together with Local Government Unit (LGU) Scholars successfully held its 9th “Lakaw ta para sa Bata” last February 26, 2022 in support to DOLE ‘s Angel Tree Program.
Project Angel Tree is one of DOLE’s projects that aims to gather and grant the wishes of child workers from a network of patrons and supporters of efforts against child labor. Services under the program include food, clothing, shelter, mentoring, livelihood, educational and medical assistance and other work and training opportunities for target child worker-beneficiaries. Hence, PESO Manolo Fortich focused their target beneficiaries on deserving students by means of providing school supplies, hygiene kits and food packs to far flung barangay.
A total of 146 children from Day Care to Grade VI and parents of Minsuro Elementary School of Barangay Minsuro, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon received educational supplies, food packs, clothing, facemask and medicine. Teachers of Minsuro Elementary School headed by their school principal Ma’am Cathy Barron also received bond paper, alcohol, facemask, vitamins and medicine during the activity.
