“Para proximal el gobyerno a la gente” or to bring the government closer to the people, this is the main reason that this project was created. RQPS is a regular visit of the LGU to the barangays, happening every Friday, to bring the services of the local government such as free medical consultations, free medicines, dental services, agricultural services, collection of taxes, free haircut, feeding program, mass civil wedding, usable clothing for indigents, processing of identification cards for senior citizens and differently able persons, assistance to job seekers and scholarship applicants and other services right at the constituents’ doorstep. During the visits, a joint session with the barangay and municipal officials is happening to discuss issues and concerns of the barangay and address them directly if possible.
Since it started in July 2007, RQPS has motivated other offices such as the 52nd Engineer brigade (local engineering camp), Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative (local electric provider), and the Manolo Fortich Water District (local water provider) to join and render their services on site as well. Recently, other services such as free legal consultations and reflexology have been added in response to the suggestions and recommendations of the people.
